Here are the details for each of the tattoo contest categories at "Tattoo City Tat Con":
*. Small Color (4"x 5" or smaller):
- Collectors and/or Tattoo artists compete by showcasing their best color tattoos with a size limit of 4"x 5" or smaller.
*. Medium Color (6"x 8" area):
- This category allows for a slightly larger area, with a maximum size of 6"x 8", for color tattoos.
*. Large Color (Up to 8.5" x 11"):
- Collectors and/or Artists can create color tattoos within an area of up to 8.5"x 11" for this category.
*. XL Color (Over 8.5" x 11"):
- This category is for extra-large color tattoos that exceed the dimensions of 8.5"x 11".
*. Small Black & Gray (4"x 5" or smaller):
- Collectors and/or Tattoo artists compete by showcasing their best black and gray tattoos with a size limit of 4"x *" or smaller.

- Collectors and/or Artists showcase their best tattoos done in traditional tattooing style, which typically includes bold lines, limited color palette, and classic themes.

- This category celebrates tattoos that represent the modern and vibrant New School tattooing style, characterized by bold and exaggerated designs with a wide range of colors.

- In this category, artists and collectors get creative and present their most unique and unconventional tattoo designs.
*. Best Lettering:
- This category focuses on tattoos that feature outstanding and visually appealing lettering, such as script, calligraphy, or any creative use of text.
*. Best Sports Tattoo:
- Collectors and/or Artists compete by entering tattoos related to sports themes, including sports teams, athletes, or iconic sports imagery.
*. Best Military Tattoo:
- This category honors tattoos that pay tribute to the military, including designs related to armed forces, veterans, and patriotic symbols.

- Collectors and/or Artists showcase their skills by entering tattoos inspired by anime characters, scenes, or artwork.:

- Female contestants showcase their full-arm sleeve tattoos. Sleeve tattoos are large, intricate designs that cover the entire arm.
*. Sleeve (Male):
- Male contestants compete in this category, showcasing their full-arm sleeve tattoos.
*. Hand/Neck Tattoo:
- Collectors and/or Artists enter their tattoos located on the hands or neck, which are often visible and require skill and precision due to their prominent placement.
*. Asian/Japanese:
- This category focuses on tattoos inspired by Asian or specifically Japanese tattooing styles, which often include traditional motifs and symbolism.
*. Leg Sleeve (Female):
- Female contestants showcase their full-leg sleeve tattoos, which cover the entire leg with intricate designs.
*. Leg Sleeve (Male):
- Male contestants compete in this category, showcasing their full-leg sleeve tattoos.
*. Chest Piece:
- Collectors and/or Tattoo artists present their best tattoos that cover the chest area, which may include single large designs or a combination of smaller tattoos.
*. Back Piece:
- This category features large tattoos that cover the entire back or a significant portion of it, often with intricate and detailed designs.
*. Best Cover-Up (with before picture):
- In this category, Collectors and/or artists enter their cover up old or unwanted tattoos with new, creative designs. They typically present both the before picture of the original tattoo and the after picture of the cover-up work.
*. Best Collection (Male):
- Male contestants present a collection of their tattoos that showcase their diverse skills, creativity, and range of styles.
*. Best Collection (Female):
- Female contestants compete in this category, presenting a collection of their tattoos that highlight their talent and versatility.
Tattoo of the Day Contest Rules:

Start to Finish: Tattoos entered in the "Tattoo of the Day" contest must be started and completed on the same day during the convention. No pre-existing work or touch-ups done outside of the event are allowed.

Timeframe: The tattoo must be completed within the hours of the convention on the day it is entered into the contest.

Documentation: The artist must document the tattooing process with photos taken throughout the day, showing the progress from start to finish.

No Misleading Information: Artists must provide accurate information about the tattoo's creation and refrain from misleading the judges or the audience about the tattoo's completion process.
